So – I have someone to introduce you to!
She is someone I have been just dying to have join me in my sewing endeavors and I am so excited that she’s finally here!!
Isn’t she so cute?? I think we’re going to be so happy together!
The generous folks at Mannequin Hub were kind enough to send her to me and I couldn’t be happier with her!
They have a great selection of dress forms – and they have all kinds of tops and bases so you can design the form you want!
They also have a great selection of dress form covers – and they’re super reasonable! For $13 you can give your friend a new outfit to show off what you’ve made!
Isn’t that fun?
They also sell children’s dress forms. So if you sew for kiddies – they are a great place to find a reasonably priced form to show off your cute outfits!
I am really looking forward to using my new form to show off things I’ve made – I’ve got big plans for new aprons and dresses – I think they’ll look great on her!
So now my big problem? She needs a name.
I was thinking maybe Mona.
or Daisy?
Maybe not. Any suggestions? :)

Fun! My big dress form is named Molly (i.e. Molly the Mannequin – my twin since I’m Melly). Molly recently adopted Munchkin, my child dress form. I was all set to order from Mannequin hub, but at the last second looked around craigslist and Munchkin was looking for a new home for half price. I can’t pass up a good thrifted deal, so…
Other names for your twin – dang your name is harder to rhyme. Everleigh?

Her name is Lola……….she is a showgirl! With pretty clothes she loves to wear, hems cut short and down to there. She works hard for you, not a stitch to call her own. Pardon me, I am channeling Barry Manilow! I like the name Lola!

SO envious, Bev! She is going to look fabulous showcasing all of your creations, no matter what you name her! :)

She looks smashing!

Love your new friend! As I was fiddling and stumbling around with a dress I was trying to make myself yesterday, I was cursing because I need to make a friend like yours. Seriously, trying to pin fabric on yourself is no fun. ha!

How fun! What was the mannequin’s name in the movie Mannequin?

Julia! Sounds like a good mannequin name to me :)
