I’ve had so much fun joining in with this fun sew along from Lori Holt and Fat Quarter Shop! This week we put together our Kaleidoscope Sew Along Runner Top!
Kaleidoscope is a new book from Lori Holt! The book includes the Kaleidoscope quilt in several sizes, along with pillow patterns and the prettiest coordinating cross stitch designs! Fat Quarter Shop is hosting a Runner Sew along and we are nearing the end – our pretty runners are almost all finished up!
I was originally thinking I’d use my runner on my buffet but as I sewed up the runner top this week I really fell in love with the idea of using it as a bed runner! Though I think now I’ll need to sew up a coordinating quilt for the bed haha!
Kaleidoscope Sew Along Runner Top
The book has instructions for using triangle paper for the blocks, or you can piece them traditionally. I used the traditional method to make mine! I sewed up my runner top with my Stardust fabric and the fun background is a Confetti Cotton in Butterscotch from Riley Blake Designs.
The Runner Sew Along instructions are free but you will need to purchase the book for the block instructions. You can also find kits of the Runner in Lori’s darling Bee Cross Stitch fabric!
