Ok, so here’s the story.
Back in October I did some Halloween printables that were inspired by that great musical work by Soulja Boy, “Turn My Swag On”.
We have a love-hate relationship with that song in this house – and it’s one of those melodies that gets stuck in your head and you can’t get it out no matter what.
So I created the “Get Your Candy On” printables – as a kind of joke – I didn’t actually think anyone would like them – in fact I thought they might make some people rethink the fact that they follow along with this ridiculous person.
But you liked them (over 500 downloads) so I decided to roll with it and the “Get Your Pie On” printables came out for Thanksgiving.
Apparently you liked those even better because we had over 1200 downloads of that version – and that doesn’t include the Cranberry version or the Dinner Table printables.
Well I can’t let Christmas go by without doing a printable in the series that is so perfect for Christmas, and almost the title of the ridiculous song that started the whole thing.
This is definitely meant to be silly. I realize that this in no way illustrates the real meaning of Christmas. If you’d like a printable like that – I suggest downloading this one from Betty Crocker Wannabe, which I love.
But maybe you want a touch of silliness among your Christmas decorations? I do!
So check out the “Get Your Swag On” Christmas printables!
(Downloads at the end of the post.)
Since it’s Christmas though, I decided to “bling” up the printable with some glitter.
This hardly qualifies as a craft/tutorial, but I’m going to show you anyway. ;)
I have some fun textured white scrapbooking paper. I cut it down to an 8 1/2″ x 11″ rectangle and printed out the green and white version.
I trimmed it down further – to an 8 x 10.
I brushed glue on the white spots with a small brush. . .
and applied silver glitter liberally to the printable, and pretty much everything else in my house.
I didn’t have a silver frame so I took my handy-dandy Silver Spray paint (which is almost as good as a magic wand but not quite) and painted a black frame silver.
Popped it in the frame and voila!
I like the glitter. If you’re going to do a printable inspired by a rap song, you might as well add some bling right?
This is going on my Green and Silver mantel – that I’m not even going to give you a peek of until next week. Cause that’s how I roll . . . and because it’s not quite finished. ;)

Don’t fret. This is the end of the Printable Series. I promise to not push it too far by making Printables for Valentines Day, etc.
I think “Get Your Love On” is taking it just a bit too far, don’t you? ;)

You have given me some inspiration for my porch picture. I want to do a pink Christmas out there. Some bling would be good too. :)
