It’s Time for the December Follower Giveaway!

Woohooo! It’s Giveaway Time. Again!!

This is a very special Giveaway to me. :)
If you are new to Flamingo Toes, you might not know that every month we have a special Follower Giveaway.

This giveaway is only open to Flamingo Toes followers and it’s my way of saying “Thank You!” to you for following along, checking in, and leaving such sweet comments. You all make blogging and creating so much fun. :)

As I’ve mentioned before, I often get in a rut. If I make something and like it, then I’m very likely to just roll with that until I get sick of it. :)
(Which is why I keep giving away Anthro necklaces. haha)
Since you all seemed to like the Rebecca Shoulder Bag, I’m hoping you won’t mind a NEW Bag as the giveaway this month!!

I’d like to introduce you to the Cindy Slouchy Tote.
(The slouch refers to the tote. Not to Cindy. :)

This bag is a bit bigger than the Rebecca Bag, perfect for stashing away everything you need, like superhero costumes when you have to drop the kids off at the Ninth Street Drop Off Center. (Extra Entry for the first person to get that movie reference. ;)

It is fully lined, with a divided pocket just like the Rebecca bag.

It has a snap closure, an elastic ruffle near the top, and a big fun bow on the front.

I love the yellow,gray, and blue fabric. Such a popular color combo right now!!

The bottom of the bag is finished with a stabalized base and sweet little pleats to give it poof. Or whatever the fashion term for that is.

The dimensions of the bag are (approximately):
14″ wide x 15″ tall x 6″ base and the straps are 9″ (meaning 9″ from the top of the bag to the top of the curve of the strap)

It will fit over your shoulder, or you can carry it over your arm, whichever you prefer!

The pattern for the Cindy Tote is in development. I hope to have it in the shop by next week – I’ll let you know when it is there.
And for those of you asking for finished bags in the shop – my goal is to get some in there after the holidays. So yay!

  11. I love this bag, the colors are so pretty, and of course anything with bows and ruffles are an added plus! It’s hard to pick a favorite project of the year, I think the lace, pearl bracelet sewed onto leather that you made a while ago. I still have not gotten the leather to make that!

  12. My favorite project this year was the witch shoes kitchen towel. I still need to put one together for my mom, she’s a HUGE witch nut. We had a great, great, (lots of greats) grandmother who was killed in the Salem Witch hunt and my mom and Aunt collect LOTS of witch stuff. (I should probably make one for my Aunt too, she’d also appreciate one) I prefer the pink, because that’s how I roll, but I think I’ll make green for my mom and Aunt since that is their favorite colors. I’ve been looking for some black and green stripe fabric, but I might just have to make the stripes for the socks myself. Whooo, that’s a long post, don’t know if you even care about it all, but it’s nice to be able write this stuff to someone who has ANY clue about what I’m talking about

  20. I’m not sure I could pick a “favorate” project. I love bags so your bag patterns and projects are GREAT. My favorate is problably the “end of summer” wristlet. I love all your jewlery projects but my favorate is probably the Willy Nilly Bracelet.

  34. Okay, I’ve been deliberating on what was my favorite, and I can’t decide, so I’m telling you both– That WAY fun sign with the candy canes and Kitchen — so cute! I really loved that! The other is the anthro necklace with the wooden beads and the pearls and the ribbon look –I LOVED that one! I think it was called “into the woods” Love, Love, Love both of them!

  45. I’m a follower! And I LOVE this bag! It’s so hard to find cute bags that are great for utility purposes too… especially when you need to carry everything under the moon for baby! LOL :)

  55. My favorite item was the “Ruffled Chiffon Scarf”! I used an old brown and cream bridesmaids dress and made one for all the ladies on my Christmas list! :)

I didn’t want to keep looking because it was a freaky project, but I couldn’t help it . . . that bowl of eyeballs. I love it and it freaks me out all at the same time!   189. I love bags, and this one is stupendous. The colors are so “happy” (for lack of a better word), and the individual pockets inside help keep my cell phone from falling to the bottom of the bag, and I’m loving those long straps that will let me sling it over my shoulder thereby keeping my hands busy for other things.
