Framed Pom Pom Monogram Wreath

I am kind of addicted to all things pom pom right now. They are so fun to make and so easy. For me, they are the perfect activity to sit and do while I’m watching a movie in the evenings. Because I can’t just sit there and do nothing you know. So I get out the little pom pom maker, my scissors, and make pom poms all night long.

My latest way to use them is in this darling framed pom pom monogram wreath! I think it’s such a fun alternative to a traditional door wreath – and so bright and cheery for summer in these shades of yellow and cream.

It’s a super light decoration too – so you can hang this monogrammed wreath anywhere. It would look great inside on a gallery wall too – or to brighten up a hallway! I love how fun it looks on my front door though.

This cute framed monogrammed wreath is super easy to make!

Supplies needed to make your own pom pom monogrammed wreath:

• Yarn (I used Caron Sunshine Yellow and Caron Off White)
• 8 inch Paper Mache Letter
• Hot Glue Gun
• Easy Pom Pom Maker Set
• Sewing Pins
• Thrifted Frame – 11 x 14 inch
• Vintage Fabrics/Sheets

Begin by wrapping your frame in a bright cheery fabric. You can tear or cut your fabric into 2″ lengths and wrap the frame, gluing the loose ends to the back of the frame.

Wrap your monogram letter in the same way, with a coordinating fabric. You might need to cut the fabric into small strips and glue it to the back to get it to lay flat.

Make a bunch of small pom poms. Mine are about 1 1/2″ or less. Make as many as you’d like to cover your letter.

Gather a few pins that are either the same color as your pom poms, or have very small heads. Use the pins to attach the pom poms to the monogram by pinning through the yarn and into the paper mache.

Attach all your pom poms so they are tightly on the letter. Take a minute to admire your cute little pom pom covered letter.

Cut a length of fabric to attach your letter to your frame. I glued a strip of fabric to each side of the back of the M, then glued that to the back of the frame. Then I glued a bow to the top to finish it off. You’ll want to adjust how yours is glued depending on the letter you’re using.

That finishes off your framed monogrammed wreath! Now you can hang it on your door and have a sunshiney greeting for all your guests!
