Oh my goodness this has been a busy week. And it’s only half over. I feel like we’re on the top of a roller coaster and we’re picking up speed. :)
We had a house-full this weekend which was a blast and I wanted to share with you some of our girly crafting time – dressing up some simple t-shirts with ribbons and roses.
We had such a great time – just brainstorming and sewing and generally making a mess. haha.
I have some closeups for you and a little rundown for each if you’d like to reduplicate any of them.
This one was a fun combination of ribbon with little birdies and cute buttons. I love the gray and orange together. Until we made this one I didn’t realize I could sew buttons on with my machine. A whole new world has opened up for me. ;)
For this one we box pleated the black and white ribbon and sewed it on, then covered the seam with a sheer black ribbon. We finished it off with a black bow and a button – and I think the contrast looks great. It looks really feminine and pretty on too.
Mmmm. This one is just yummy. It’s the combo of the black and white on the gray, I think. The white lace is a a piece leftover from the lace used on my friend’s wedding dress. It’s gorgeous. There’s a pretty ribbon rose over it with some pearls in the middle.
This one has the most detail and I think it’s so pretty. It has that same wedding lace and it’s finished off with ric rac (heeeeyyyyy) and some ribbon roses.
And here’s my favorite – this little lady picked out her ribbons and outlined exactly what she wanted done with them on her dress.
She is a fashionista. :)
There’s a ruffle of tulle and ribbon at the bottom, and a few ribbon roses and a pleated ribbon as an accent at the top.
Ok. Really. Now how adorable is she??
Last but not least – the Cute Dog portion of the post. I couldn’t resist sharing with you my sister’s darling puppy in her Bat costume.
Meet Darcy.
My sister made her bat wings that attach to her harness out of white felt. She painted chocolate brown spots on them to match Darcy’s brown spots. Doesn’t it look great with her big bat ears?? haha.
Darcy’s only 5 months old but she was such a good girl for her photo shoot. :)
Also – my Ballard Inspired Spool Table was featured over at Remodelaholic today!! woohoo – Thanks Cassity!
So was that a lot of cuteness or what?? ;)
