February our giveaway is all about stabilizers! Take a look!

Pellon has packaged up this new line of stabilizers for stores – they are hitting Joann’s this month!
Stabilizers are excellent for embroidery, decorative stitching and appliques. They give you the stability you need to keep your stitching looking even and pretty without puckering or wrinkling up on you!
It’s not just for machine embroidery either – it’s great for hand embroidery too!

Here’s what we’ve got, and a little more info about them:

These  are the three Tear Away Stabilizers.

~Fuse-N-Tear is a fusible stabilizer that easily tears away from your stitching. It irons on easily and keeps your stitching from puckering, and when you tear it off it doesn’t leave any sticky fusing behind. (12″ x 12 Yard Roll)
~Stitch-N-Tear Lite is great for decorative stitching, buttonholes, quilting and more! It’s nice and lightweight too so it doesn’t pull your stitches when you remove it. (12″ x 11 Yard Roll)
~Stick-N-Tear is perfect for knits, velvets, suede, nylon, etc, especially fabrics you don’t want to iron the Fuse-N-Tear to. It has a paper backing you peel away – you then just stick the stabilizer to the fabric, sew your design, and then tear it away! Because it’s sticky, this is also great for tiny projects like doll clothes, ribbon, cuffs and more. (12″ x 6 Yard Roll)

~Soft-N-Stay is the perfect stabilizer for embroidery on clothes – it is light and soft and you can leave it in through wearing and washing. It also works great on netting, organza and lycra because it doesn’t stretch. After you finish your embroidery you just trim away the excess! (12″ x 11 Yard Roll)
~Sol-U-Film Lite is a wash away stabilizer. It is great for lace, edges, 3-D designs and intricate or delicate embroidery. All you have to do is submerge the piece in water after you finish your embroidery and the stabilizer just dissolves! (12″ x 9 Yard Roll)

I think the little boxes are cute too – they have fun graphics so it’s easy to tell what kind of stabilizer you need!

    I would most definitely use them for applique. I might even use them as a temporary stiffener for fabric I want to cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

    I love machine embroidery. I prefer the sticky back type of stabilizer BUT the removal of the sticky from my hoops is a problem. I am anxious to try Pellon. They are notorious for a high quality product! I would embroider some wedding handkerchiefs!

    The stabilizers would be wonderful for my free-form crochet projects!! I have one purse that I carry with me at all times and seldom get out of a store without someone stopping me to ask if I made it, how long did it take, construction elements..etc.. And,Yes, Pellon stabilizer is an element of the free-form construction!! Lots of advertising value there..

Basically, if you can carry stuff around in it, I want to make it — and make it as pretty as can be.     I would love this. I was just fixing a hole in a shirt, and some stabilizers like this would have been great. I also followed a tutorial you did, sewing your ribbon flower t shirt. Some of these stabilizers would have been so great to use!

    I would love to do more stitching on felt and sweaters and the stabilizers are great for that. Especially the water soluble kind. You can draw on them and stitch and then like magic they disappear.

    I have been embroidering a lot lately and am loving it! I do find that some fabrics could use a little more weight and these Pellon products look like the perfect thing for helping me with that. Most of the embroidery I’m doing is cute little animals for baby bibs and baby quilts. I was hoping I might get around to making myself something soon…maybe a cute zipper pouch with something embroidered on it.

    Awesome giveaway Bev. I’d love to win this. I have not ever tried Pellon embroidery stabilizers but would love to. I use their other products and love those so I’m sure the embroidery ones would be just as wonderful.

    I have a ton of baby things to embroider for my week old Granddaughter so it sure wouldn’t go to waste around here. I could really use this.

    I liked Pellon on Facebook. Love the new containers with the description of each. Makes it much easier to grab the correct product for a purse, potholders, or quilting.

    I am a machine embroiderer, look forward to trying out new stabelizers. Currently into FSL and cutwork, I really like the containers, sometimes it is confusing which one is which. I mostly use water-soluble, and WS tacky as I have fast frames for my machine. evade tames for my machine.

    I didn’t realise there were so many types of stabilizer available. I usually use an iron on one but Pellon Lite Stitch N Tear would be good to try for my appliqué work. I suspect to would have a softer end result.

    Wow! If win then can use the stabilizer for the Clover and Violet QAL with embroidery that is starting. Plus, have some lace that want to use for an overskirt for my 7mo baby grandniece – whatever I use must be soft and the washable sounds like could use to stabilize sewing on the machine and then wash out. Thanks for the chance! I’ve always used Pellon for interfacing so think it is a great idea for them to offer stabilizer through JoAnn’s too.

    Hot Topic tends to give out a free cheapy reusable bag when you make a purchase. I always keep them with the intention of making a liner for the bags. I would LOVE to win this so that I can start lining these bags. I have friends who are excited about me making bags for them. =)

Say Cheese! I love using embroidery hoop art to decorate and this one always makes me smile! It's inspired by those cute little retro cameras and I added lots of fun lazy daisy stitches to jazz it up!​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ This embroidery pattern is super beginner friendly so if you're just starting out or wanting to give embroidery a try, this is a great pattern to start with.
