I am so excited to finally be able to show you my Christmas mantel! It has been busy busy busy around here!
Last year I had a Woodland theme on the mantel. I adored it (if I do say so myself) but this year I wanted more color! So I came up with a really Colorful Retro Mantel and it was so fun to put together!
Let’s take a look at some close ups. Because I went a little picture crazy.
I think one of my favorite things about the mantel is this pom pom garland. It was super easy to do – just make up a ton of pom poms and string them up on bakers twine. I paired it with a vintage beaded garland for a little more texture.
I wanted a big pop of color behind everything so I propped up one of my turquoise window frames in front of the mirror, after Christmas this will head upstairs to my room for some new wall art! Woot!
I decorated the window with this cute Scrappy Christmas Wreath – it’s just a Styrofoam form wrapped with yarn and fabric scraps, and decorated with some cute felt flowers and more pom poms. Of course.
The mantel is decorated with a bunch of fun vintage bottle brush trees, as well as my faux versions I made a few weeks ago. Aren’t they cute and bristley? I want to make more. Next year.
I have my Bing Crosby Merry Christmas record hanging out there too – it’s the perfect colors to match the mantel and Bing looks so cute.
I just fell in love with these deer bookends from Target. I may have squealed in the aisle. Possibly. I love this angle because you can see how they look just a little sly, sitting there holding up their vintage mini ornament garland.
I really like how the whole thing came together –
On the right side I have my Joy To The World sign and a little mini globe! And a glittered deer – because you can never have too many of those.
Oh look – in this last photos in the mirror you can see my Gallery Wall and Shelf on the other wall! Sneaky.
So I hope you like it – it sure makes me happy! :)

Something’s telling me you were once a window dresser at a major department store or have the capacity to do so. Your retro look is in spot. The Bing Crosby Album. Yes, vinyl. Do you also own a turn table aka record player? The globe capitalizing on Joy To The World . Not just basic Christmas green and red but some Cali turquoise too. Can’t be more inviting than this.

Your mantel is adorable! I would have passed by those deer bookends without a second thought, but I LOVE what you did with them! My brain just doesn’t think out of the box much. Also, the pom-pom garland? Perfect! I am totally making one next year! I don’t have a mantle, but I do have a couple of doorways that it would be perfect for!
