I am really on a quilting roll the last couple of months!! Do you ever get in a crafty groove and stick with one style or crafty thing for a while? I do! It’s so fun. Not that I’m only going to be quilty, but I am sure loving putting these together right now!
A few months ago I shared a quilt I was starting after going through Amy Smart’s Craftsy class, Pre-cut Shortcuts. This pattern is no longer available from Craftsy because they’ve close down, but you can find the pattern in Amy’s shop here.

I’m so excited to show off the finished quilt! It’s the first quilt that I have had quilted by a long-arm quilter and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. It is pretty delicious, just dropping off a quilt top and back and picking up a quilt!
This quilt pattern uses layer cakes (10″ squares) and jelly rolls (2 1/2″ x 44″ strips) that are already cut so it saves you tons of time. I used Regent Street Lawn by Moda for the florals and Kona white for the contrasting sections. I haven’t made a lawn quilt before and I loooooove it. It is so soft!
The quilting was done by Julie from Julie’s Longarm Quilting and she did a fabulous job! It’s quilting with a flower and leaf pattern that goes great with the prints.
My corners are not perfect, but it’s hard to tell with the bright florals. I think you’d really have to spend time looking for it to see them. And if you’re doing that, then you’re cuddling up under it and you won’t mind how wonky the corners are, cause it will be so cozy. That’s my theory anyway. :)
You can see a little sneak peek of my gallery wall in these photos too! I have more tweaking to do but I really like how it’s coming together! I’ll show off the finished wall soon – and I have more quilts coming your way over the next few weeks too! Up next is my vintage sheet quilt – I can’t wait for you to see it!

oooooh, gorgeous, fantastic quilt. If your corners were perfect then it wouldn’t be handmade.
After all the sewing have done over lifetime have never made a quilt. Maybe this winter will be the right time. Would love to make quilts for daughter and grand daughters just cause I want to. No hurry as I have time (if I’d stay off this contraption). Have new sewing machine have hardly used in all the months since I’ve gotten it.
Hopefully you have inspired me, love to do more complex projects in winter, helps pass the cold months.
I was lucky enuf to find beautiful handmade double bed quilt at Goodwill last year for $8.99, wish could find another one.
All we use on our bed, even in winter are quilts, love look and feel of them, so cozy. Our kitty loves quilts too.
Have wonderful rest of week and weekend

This is a very beautiful quilt. I have scrolled up and down a dozen times and magnified images and I cant find anything other than a simply beautiful quilt. The color combination is exceptional, the work is immaculate. It is a work of art to be truly treasured and handed down to loved ones.

I love this quilt so much! Just gorgeous. I agree, embrace the wonky corners. Life is too short to worry about that little stuff. I embrace all my wonkiness :) :) I can’t wait to see your vintage sheet quilt!! I adore vintage sheets and wish I had more of that sort of fabric.

Beautiful quilt. I too have been on a mission regarding quilts. I’ve been buying them but I should have been making them like you. Thank you for sharing at Snickerdoodle!

Sorry, it’s me again Bev. Can’t get over how breath taking your quilt and fabrics are, such a gorgeous job you did on it. Can hardly wait to see vintage sheet quilt. Think I need to look for vintage sheets at thrift stores instead of chotskies. Where do you find vintage sheets?
Getting quite late so think it’s time to pack it in for tonight. I do tend to be night owl.
Have great rest of weekend

Gorgeous quilt, pattern, fabric!

Hi Bev,
Your quilt is beautiful. I have a Sizzix and have been doing paper piercing using the hexi die cut. So much easier than cutting all that stuff.
Love your blog. Always such great inspiration!

What specific class did you take. I am looking for it. Is it the one that makes 7 quilts with precuts?
Beverly says
That class was available through Craftsy, and that company has closed. But you can find the pattern in Amy’s (Diary of a Quilter) shop here: https://diaryofaquiltershop.com/search?q=crossweave
