The Cherry Love sew along has come to a close, and today I finally get to share my finished quilt! This one was such a joy to sew from start to finish, and I can honestly say it’s one of those projects that just makes me smile every time I look at it.

Fat Quarter Shop offers two versions of the quilt – one free version with just the Cherry blocks and one paid version with a heart border. I chose to make the larger version with the heart border, and I’m so glad I did. That extra border adds such a sweet, cozy frame to the quilt and really lets all of those darling cherry blocks shine. The heart border feels like the perfect finishing touch — a little extra love wrapped all the way around the quilt.

One of my favorite things about this quilt is all the cute prints tucked inside the hearts. Mixing and matching fabrics there was so much fun, and I love how each heart feels a little bit special. Florals, tiny prints, and those soft pops of color all work together to give the quilt so much personality while still keeping everything cohesive.

The cherry blocks themselves were such a delight to make. They’re playful and cheerful without being fussy, and I loved watching the quilt come together during the sew along. This is definitely a project that feels just as fun while sewing as it does once it’s finished — always a win in my book!

I made up my version of the quilt using Sandy Gervais’ Love You Always fabric collection. For the backing of the quilt, I used my Dainty Daisy Mint Wideback – I love how it looks with the prints in the quilt.

If you sewed along too, I’d love to see your version and the fabric choices you made — it’s always inspiring to see how the same pattern can look completely different in someone else’s hands. And if you’re just now discovering Cherry Love, it’s a wonderful project to come back to anytime you’re in the mood for something sweet and heart-filled.

Now excuse me while I admire this quilt just a little bit longer… and maybe start dreaming about where it’s going to live. 💕🍒

This is beautiful. Love your addition and fabric choice. Well done.
