Today’s sweet bracelet is soooo fast and easy and fun to do!
It’s a sweet cameo set off by fun ribbon and some chains to make things more interesting! It’s sooo quick too. I think you can put this one together in about 15 minutes!
It would be really easy to make up to match your outfits – there are so many fun ribbons out there now that would look fabulous. You could even use a different brooch or pin instead of the cameo!
I actually had one of these cuties in my Etsy shop eons ago when I was running the shop, I decided it was time to show you how to do it!
Ready for this super easy tutorial?
Here are your materials:
- 1 metal cuff
- Ribbon (a couple yards)
- chain
- cameo or other focal piece
- glue (I recommend E-6000)
If you’re using a cameo that was a pendant, you’ll need to cut off the ring on the top. You can use wire clippers to cut it off close to the design.
Start off by wrapping your ribbon around one end of the metal cuff. I used wire ribbon – you don’t have to but it kind of helps to hold the ribbon in place around the cuff. Add some glue on the end to hold the beginning in place. (Make sure you always add your glue on the inside of the cuff.)
Keep wrapping and gluing your ribbon until you’ve covered your whole bracelet. Tuck the end under and glue it to the inside.
Glue one end of your chain on the inside of the bracelet, tucking it into one of the ends of the ribbon to hide the end.
Wrap your chain all criss-crossy around the cuff. Try to start and end your chain at about the same place on each side of the cuff. Glue the other end of the chain under one of the ribbon folds.
Now you have a cool ribbon cuff wrapped in chain.
Using a good amount of glue, add your cameo to the center front of the cuff. You can also glue down any loose chains on the inside of the cuff.
That’s all there is to it!! Soooo easy and cute right?
I love how the cameo looks against the chain and ribbon. Such a fun contrast of styles and textures!
It makes a great statement piece don’t you think?
