One of my favorite types of holiday decorations are buntings. There are so many cute things you can do and different materials you can use. They add some fun and festivity to a wall, mantel or shelf! Plus, most of them store flat which is always a plus. Especially as my holiday decorations boxes seem to multiply like rabbits in the garage.
This Easter burlap and fabric bunting is super easy to make and would make a great addition to any spring decor. It’s also small enough to make a cute Easter wall display or set between picture frames.
The pennants are decorated with little fabric Easter eggs and sewn together with Baker’s twine (which I’m pretty much addicted to).
This goes together so fast too – I think you could easily make it up in an hour – maybe even less!
Supplies needed to make your own Easter decor bunting:
- Mini Triangle Canvas Corp Burlap Shape – 3 sets
- Fabric – charm squares work great for this! (if you want to cut your own, you need 5″ x 5″ per pennant
- Sew Easy Fancy Floss Baker’s Twine in Tertiary
- Sew Easy Needles
- Fusible Webbing
- Pinking Shears
Pick out enough fabric for as many triangles as you’d like in your bunting. Mine is 7 triangles. With pinking shears, cut a triangle of fabric a little larger than your burlap bunting piece.
Thread an embroidery needle with baker’s twine and using a running stitch, sew the burlap to the fabric along the two sides. Use the opposite color of baker’s twine as the fabric behind it. So when you have blue fabric behind, use green twine for your stitching.
Cut out an egg shape from one of your fabrics and glue or iron on with fusible webbing. I found the fabrics with the brighter colors showed up best on the burlap.
Continue making all your bunting pieces, changing up your backing pieces and using different fabrics for the eggs as well.
Cut a long piece of baker’s twine and tie a bow at the end. Sew a running stitch along the top of the bunting pieces.
Once you finish connecting all your bunting pieces, you’re all done! Now you can hang your cute new Easter decor bunting for spring.

Fun & Fresh. I like your take on seasonal bunting and lacy dressed eggs (that are displayed in the mason jar). Being single and living alone, it’s hard to justify that sort of effort, expense, or extra space needed to store holiday decorations. However, it does my heart good to see your crafts. Well done!
