I am so excited to share today's treat with you!
I have always had a sweet tooth so finding something I like that's sweet is pretty easy. But my family is a little pickier. My husband doesn't really like a lot of sweets – but he does love cheesecake. For my son, it's brownies. My daughter is a little more like me and anything sweet is fair game, but her favorite candy is anything Reese's. It makes it a little tough to come up with something for everyone!
I got a super exciting opportunity a few weeks ago – to participate in a REESE’S® Baking Bracket Challenge. Well, I knew right away that I wanted to come up with something we'd ALL love. I made up this 3-Point Reese's Cheesecake Brownie Deep Dish Pizza and it has become one of my favorite things I've baked ever.
It's a Deep Dish Brownie Pizza, with Reese's Minis in the brownie layer, then topped with a super creamy cheesecake filling! To finish it off I have a topping of Reese's Pieces all drizzled with melted chocolate. Because if you can cover something in melted chocolate – why wouldn't you?? Seriously, it is such a fun combination of flavors.
So here's the deal with the REESE’S® Baking Bracket Challenge™. REESE’S® Peanut Butter Cups and Walmart have put together a super sweet challenge for making the upcoming basketball finals and game day more fun!
I helped create one of 32 fun REESE’S® recipes that can be found at www.ReesesBakingBracket.com. (I'm still pinching myself that I get to take part in this!!) There is something in it for you too! If you vote for my or one of the other recipes in the contest you will be entered for a chance to win a daily prize of a $100 Walmart® gift card. Boom.
The bracket challenge is being hosted just like a basketball bracket – so they'll narrow down the competition as it goes. (No pressure there of course!) Do you ever fill out those brackets at home? I am so doing that this year. Now that the kids are a little older I think they'll really have more fun participating in it. And while we're doing that, I think I'll make up another Brownie Pizza covered in Reese's. (You can even pick up all the ingredients at Walmart!) It's super yummy and not super expensive. Which is a win-win in my book.
So let's get to the recipe!
3-Point Reese’s Cheesecake Brownie Deep Dish Pizza
Serves | 20 |
Ingredients
Cheesecake Layer
- 2 8-oz packages of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Brownie Layer
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 6oz unsweetened baking chocolate
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 - 8oz package Reese's Minis (each cut in half)
Topping Layer
- 1 - 8oz package Reese's Pieces
- 1 cup melting chocolate for drizzling
Directions
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
Cut strips of parchment paper and arrange in two 9 inch cake pans, overlapping them so the bottom and sides of pan are covered.
For cheesecake layer: beat together all ingredients until blended and smooth. Set aside.
For Brownie Layer: In a large microwaveable bowl, melt butter and chocolate for 2 minutes. Use medium power (or defrost setting) and stir chocolate mixture every 30 seconds. You want the mixture to be completely melted and nice and smooth.
With a spatula, stir in sugar, vanilla and salt into melted chocolate. Add eggs, one at a time and stir well until completely blended after each egg. Stir in flour. Fold in the chopped Reese's Minis.
Spread 1/2 of brownie mixture into each of the cake pans, so mixture covers the entire bottom of the pan. Now spread 1/2 of the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer, leaving a border around the edge, kind of like a pizza crust.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until cheesecake layer is just set and starting to brown very lightly around the edges. Let brownie pizza cool for at least 30 minutes.
Once brownie has cooled, sprinkle Reese's Pieces over the top, covering it well. Microwave melting chocolate in a small bowl, the same way you did the baking chocolate. Add chocolate to a small baggie and snip the corner off just a tiny bit. Drizzle chocolate over the pizza.
Cut and enjoy! Brownie Pizza can be served warm or cold - it's delicious either way! |

It looks delicious and I would love to try the recipe. However, the quantity of flour seems to be missing. How much should I use? I assume that it does contain flour, since flour is mentioned in the directions. Thanks!

Hi Bev!! I got the scoop from your mom to vote for your recipe … so I did today!! Your recipe looks amazingly delicious. However, there is already one problem for me … I just gained 10 lbs. reading the recipe!!! tee hee hee I also love your blog!! Again, your mom told me about it a few years ago!! Your folks are actually friends from college and my husband, Dan, sat with your dad at the hospital while your mom was in labor/delivering you. The last time we saw you was at your wedding and that’s been some time ago, huh! ANYWAY, again, I love your recipe … I’m looking forward to making it and I love your blog!!! THANX for all the ideas and help you give me!! Hugs, Donna Reid
