This week’s block in the Riley Blake Designs Block Challenge is the beautiful Flower Show block by J. Wecker Frisch, and it’s such a fun one! I love how this design comes together to create a bold, floral-inspired star—it really does feel like a little quilted bloom.

The mix of angles in this block gives it so much movement, and those petal shapes really pop against the background. It’s a great balance of structured piecing with a soft, floral feel—definitely a standout in the quilt!

For my version, I went with a warm, rosy palette using Dapple Dot Marsala, Sparkler Beach, and Blossom Peaches N Cream. The Marsala adds that rich contrast for the outer points, while the soft peach center keeps everything feeling light and sweet. I love how these colors play together—it feels classic but still fresh.

If you’re sewing along, this block is a great one to take your time with and enjoy the piecing—it really pays off when it all comes together!

You can find the free Flower Show pattern on the Riley Blake Designs website, and be sure to join the RBD Block Challenge Facebook Group to share your block and see everyone else’s versions—there’s so much inspiration each week!
Happy sewing! ✨
