This week’s RBD Block Challenge is the Patchwork Star block by Liza Taylor, and it’s such a fun mix of classic patchwork and bold star design! I love how the checkerboard pieces add extra movement and make the star feel even more dynamic.
I kept things soft and summery with a mix of Sparkler Beach, Sparkler Apricot, Sparkler Bleached Denim, and Dainty Daisy Stargazer. The contrast between the tiny prints and the larger star shapes really makes everything pop, and those little patchwork squares give it that sweet, vintage-inspired feel.
It’s hard to believe we’re getting so close to the finish—there are only three more blocks after this one! I’m so excited to see how all the blocks come together into the final quilt.
