It’s getting a little Mini Quilt crazy around here – and I’m totally ok with that! I can’t seem to resist them – they are so fun to make up and such a cute way to show off a little quilty style on the walls or table tops!
Today I’m sharing this Vintage Sheet Hexagons Mini Quilt as part of a super fun book tour for the new book Pretty Handmades (affiliate link) by Lauren Wright. It’s coming out October 1 and I think you will love it!
Pretty Handmades is just what it sounds like – tons of pretty felt and fabric sewing projects! Everything from cute hoop art (check that little girl on the cover!!) to little zip bags and felt kittens. Since I’m on a mini quilt kick I couldn’t resist stitching up the Hexagon mini quilt.
In the book, Lauren’s mini hexies are all inside the border but I wanted to step outside the “box” a bit so I carried a few hexies into my border. And of course, I had to use vintage sheet fabrics – it’s been way to long since I did a vintage sheet project!
I always forget how much fun stitching up these little paper pieced hexagons are until I am sewing them – they are so relaxing! This mini doesn’t have a ton of them so they went together really quickly.
There are tooooons more awesome projects in the Pretty Handmades book tour – you’ll want to click around and check them all out!

Hi! That fabric is actually from Hobby Lobby a while ago – I’m not sure if they’re still carrying it or not. This Riley Blake Swiss Dots looks pretty close though! https://www.fabric.com/buy/0315119/riley-blake-swiss-dots-black
