Ok – you guys know that when they were handing out Paper Crafting genes I missed out right? I think I was in the addicted to ice cream gene line instead.
I’ve always liked the look of paper crafts, especially handmade cards, but after a few sad little craft fails years ago, I gave up and stuck to store bought cards instead.
Welllll – no longer!! I have found the coolest and easiest way to make Handmade Cards Ever!
{Can you hear the joyful angelic background music??}
Have you heard of the new David Tutera Celebrate card making line?
It is really so easy! It’s all set up around a 3 Step Process –
Step 1 is all the Base. The line has a big selection of all types and sizes of Base Cards. Embossed, Metallic, Glitter, Pretty Edging, White and Colors!
You can sort of see that some of the packages have letters also – those relate to size.
Step 2 is an assortment of layers – and this comes in all sorts of colors, textures and embossed shapes and cutouts!
These have letters too – so you can easily match up Step 1 “A”s and Step 2 “A”s!
Then Step 3 is all the Candy! There are all sorts of embellishments to top things off with – cute sayings, shapes, borders and lots more!
Isn’t this fun?
I will confess that even with everything layed out so easy for me, I was still nervous when it came time to put my first card together. But it was so easy.
You start with any Step 1 Base and choose a Step 2 Layer to put on it!
PS – have you ever used this cool tapey stuff?? It’s amazing. You just drag it on your paper and it puts down a layer of two-sided tape! (Yes, all you paper crafters can go ahead and snicker at my ignorance. I don’t mind.)
Once you have your Step 2 Layer on, then you can go ahead and add your Step 3 Embellishments! I chose this fun craft paper colored border first –
And they I added this little “Thinking of You” embellishment!! These come all ready to go – with little sticky tabs on the back so it gives the card a 3-d effect!
I love it. I may send it to myself.
So then I got all caught up and made some more!
One of the Step 3 Embellishments is a package of a bunch of different sayings. They’re all stickers so they’re easy to apply to any blank shape.
This glitter card and layer are really fun – and so much easier to work with than actual glitter. No mess!
Aren’t they fun?? I really can’t believe how easy it all is!
