We have two more sweet blocks this week to show off Hush Hush 5! This is the Strength in Every Stitch Sew Along Week 2 and I’m loving how these blocks are coming together.

Last week, Riley Blake Designs kicked off a new sew-along to highlight their latest low-volume collection, Hush Hush 5. Some of the designers who created prints for the collection have also made quilt blocks, and Riley Blake put them together in a gorgeous quilt layout! I’m sewing along with all the sweet Hush Hush prints and my RBD basic, Dainty Daisy.

This week’s blocks are designed by Sandy Gervais and Modern Prairie. First up is the Embolden Block that Sandy designed! I made up this block in two sizes to match the RBD quilt layout. Aren’t they cute little star blocks?
For the 12″ block, I used Dainty Daisy Denim and Honey, and for the 6″ block, I used Waterfall and Holly.

The other block this week is the Prairie Hearth block from Modern Prairie. This gorgeous block is such a showstopper! I made the 12″ version, the 6″ version has a slightly simpler layout so if you want to do that one, don’t be afraid haha. For this block I used Dainty Daisy Songbird, Lipstick, and Riley Red.

It’s so fun to see the different Hush Hush 5 prints up close – the wheat leaves from Modern Prairie and the little geometric squares from Sandy Gervais are such fun additions to the collection.
You can still join us and sew along! All the blocks are free and are available now. You can find them in 6″ and 12″ sizes too, they are so versatile and can be used in lots of projects, even if you don’t have time to sew the whole quilt now.
You can find all the info on the sew-along on the RBD Blog, along with the schedule and fabric requirements.
You can find the patterns for all the blocks here!

Aren’t these fun? What collection would you use to make up these blocks?
Join us next week for two more blocks in the sew along!

Amazing quilt! Looking forward to stitching along.
