I am so excited for today!!
I have been working on this pattern for quite a while now and I’m so excited to finally debut the State Fair Apron Pattern!!
The State Fair Apron is a cute and stylish apron that goes together quickly and adds some fun style to any party or get-together – or any day!
The pattern comes with instructions for full or half apron versions. There are two apron skirt options, one with just vertical pleats, and one with horizontal pleats as well! The apron comes complete with pockets that can be embellished with buttons, ruffles or bias tape. There are tons of combinations and possibilities!
I have always had a love for old musicals – they are so fun and such a great inspiration for cute retro fashion and style! So this apron is called the “State Fair Apron”, inspired by the old musicals and all those fabulous State Fairs where everyone got together and showed off all the yummy things they’d been baking, canning, and creating all year long. :)
The top is designed with a fun little contrast panel in the center that can be decorated with lace or trim, some cute buttons and is topped off with a darling little collar!
It’s fun to see how different the same top looks in different fabrics and trims. . .
The skirt has two options – you can sew it up with just vertical pleats – or you can add in horizontal pleats as well!
There is also an option to create either skirt version as a half apron – this Patriotic version is so fun but you can make it up in any fabric for a sweet look.
I’ve made it super easy for you to purchase as well! You can just click below to Purchase – and it’s an instant download too!
The pattern is a PDF Download. You’ll need a PDF reader and a printer to open and print out the instructions and pattern pieces.
Let me know if you need any help with the purchasing or downloading process!

Bev, These are so cute. I love aprons. My mother used to make them out of flour sacks. If we purchase the pattern, do we have the right to make them for sale?

Oh my gosh. I love this. And I am looking for new patterns, too.
I am ordering this right now–one quick question–do you have any photos of the back of the apron? Also–I love making up fabric on Spoonflower and this apron would be a natural for creating fun fabrics. It’s also a wonderful way to creatively use smaller pieces of fabric that you want to incorporate into something.
Jane says
Well, I just finished my apron after two weeks !!! – (took longer than anticipated because of sewing machine problems :( ) – and I absolutely LOVE it! Will be wearing it to work in coffee shop next week and I predict lots of compliments and apron envy!
