So – if you have been only reading this blog for 3 days, you have missed out on the fact that last weekend was the SoCal Social. ;)
Viv from The V Spot, and Holly from 504 Main and I got together and decided it would be super fun to plan an event for SoCal bloggers. We all met up in the Orange Circle in Orange, Ca for a day of shopping, lunching, laughing, and getting to know each other a little better!!
We had such a blast – I want to show you how the day went!
**Warning – crazy amount of pictures here. :)
We started off on the Swag Walk – A walk through shops in the Orange Circle picking up Swag and finding goodies. The Orange Circle is a fabulous mix of antique shops and sweet boutiques.
Country Roads Antiques (crazy amazing store)
After 3 hours of shopping fun, we had a super yummy lunch at the Filling Station Cafe!
We made cute centerpieces for the tables – the jars said, “”Inspire”, “Create”, and “Connect” – our theme for the event! We also made Nametag “Necklaces” – you can see everyone in the shots is sporting matching necklaces with fun nametag clipped to it.
We had LOTS of giveaways – and super amazing sponsors!
And lots of time to just hang out and talk!!
(Viv’s sportin’ a super cute hat to shade her eyes. It was a bit toasty.)
Shutter Nonsense set up a photo booth for us – with a fun Chalkboard backdrop! So we could color on it and write out blog names. The had a bunch of fun props too so we could be silly.
We had some super yummy cupcakes for dessert from Miss Priss Cupcakes too!!
Mark Montano was our Special Guest – and I have to say he was Awesome!!! He was funny and super nice, willing to talk to everyone. He shared a lot about his background in TV, how he writes his books and where he gets his inspiration. We are sooo thankful he joined us for the day!!
He brought copies of his Brand New Book (out today!!!) for us!! He even signed them all!
After our late lunch, we headed over to the Heavenly Hostess for our after party. Our hostess, Cynthia, was amazing! She had giveaways, drinks, snacks, and some fun photo props for us!
We may have gotten a little silly.
How much do you love my red unibrow?? And I’m thinking of getting that tiara to wear all the time at home.
We all had such a great time – it was fun getting to know each other!
And I had so much fun with my co-planners, Vivienne and Holly. It was so great to actually have a blast planning an event!!
We’re already talking about next year . . . I hope you can come!!
PS – Did you see the amazing swag bags??? Guess what I have for you tomorrow?
Yep! A giveaway!!!! (or TWO!)
