It’s the final week of the Sewing Machine Love Sew Along with Fat Quarter Shop, and we get to show off our finished quilts! I love mine so much. From the sweet spool and hearts to that big sewing machine and colorful patchwork quilt, this has been such a fun project to sew.

I made my quilt with Minki Kim’s Cotton Nook fabrics, and I think they make such a happy quilt! The lovely florals and fresh colors are so sweet together. I’m still thinking I need a real sewing machine in these prints. How cute would that be?!

A Little Extra Cuddle Room
I wanted my quilt to be slightly larger, so I added a 4″ border of the Blush Main print to the pattern. It turned out to be a great throw size! My finished quilt measures 54″ x 66″, which means I can cuddle up under a sewing machine any time I want. Haha!
The border is a simple addition if you’d like a little more room for cozy quilt cuddling, too. I used one of the pink floral prints from Cotton Nook for the backing as well. It makes it so soft and sweet!

Sweet Floral Quilting
For the quilting, I used the Vintage Flowers pantograph from Sew Shabby Quilting. It’s one of my favorites! The sweet florals add lots of movement and such a pretty texture while still letting the quilt design shine. I love how it looks with the Cotton Nook prints.

Sew Your Own Sewing Machine Love Quilt
If you’d like to make your own, the Sewing Machine Love pattern is available from Fat Quarter Shop. You can also look back through my earlier sew along posts to see the spool and hearts, sewing machine, and patchwork sections come together.
(As a side note, how pretty are our Fall trees right now?? I’m loving it!!)

Thank you for sewing along with me! If you’ve been making a Sewing Machine Love quilt, I’d love to see yours. It’s so fun to see how everyone’s fabric choices give their quilts a different personality!

Beverly, a most lovely quilt. Thank you for sharing. Adding a border is perfect Not only cuddly, to me this would be perfect on a wall in a sewing room.
