We are having so much fun exploring our new town! There are so many cute little places around every corner. We’ve found the yummiest Italian place and several cute little antique shops. (Yay!) We also found this darling little farmer’s market just down the road. It is so cute, just a little one-room shop, but right now they have the entire parking area set up for fall. There are these gorgeous pots of mums, and piles of pumpkins in every shape and size! I couldn’t resist taking a few photos last week.
Can you believe that sea of mums? They are so gorgeous. I had to bring a few home. And I’ll be going back for some of these ornamental cabbages – I can’t resist those purple varieties.
I’m so excited that they are just down the street. And their prices are great too! I picked out a few things to decorate the front steps and around the house. The timing was great because my in-laws have just arrived for their first visit to the new house – so I was able to do a little Fall tablescape decorating too!
I found some seriously darling things at Target as well – and they pair perfectly with the pumpkins and those great fall colors! They have this whole line of plaid linens, so I picked up the navy plaid tablecloth and the orange plaid napkins. They look so cute with the pumpkins!
I wanted to find something sort of rustic and vintage-looking to hold my pumpkins for the table and I found this great wood bowl/tray. They look carved and like they’ve been around for ages. Just my style. I picked up a box of filler so the bowl would look nice and full – this one has pinecones and gold acorns-’cause if you can have gold acorns why wouldn’t you?
Since I had the gold in the acorns, I thought I’d mix in a few more metallics. I wanted to go with warmer tones since it’s fall, so I picked up these Brass Quail Candlesticks and this hammered copper serving bowl – which might be my new favorite thing ever.
I made up this spinach apple salad with goat cheese and pecans. It’s super easy to throw together, and, since it was in this great copper bowl, I put it together early and then put the whole thing in the fridge. The copper gets nice and cold and keeps the salad cold throughout the meal. Win win!
We had so much fun and I’m excited to see what other things I can find in the neighborhood. Although first I might need to stop by the market and get a few more pumpkins. :)

Loved the hammered bowl and the layout of the table was refreshingly simple and welcoming.
