I have a sweet and sad story to share with you.
I got the nicest email from a new friend named Pam from Pam’s Paint Parlor who said she made a version of the Anthro knockoff mirror. Well of course I was thrilled.
She started with this mirror.
She had the extremely clever idea to use book pages to put behind the mirror –
Isn’t that a great idea???
I thought so too. :)
But there I was, reading along in her email, and I came across her terrible news – her mirror dropped and cracked. Gasp!!!
Oh it broke my heart. (No pun there) I know just how that feels – when you put time into a project and something happens and it doesn’t work.
But Pam, bless her heart, carried on and finished the mirror and painted the frame.
Such a good lesson – to not get so discouraged that we give up on a project if something goes very wrong.
I love that she finished it and is going to hang it, crack and all, until she makes a new one. And Pam, thanks so much for emailing me and sharing your story with me!!
Has this ever happened to you? Has something gone so wrong with a project that you didn’t want to finish it? Did you cry in the corner? (oh wait – maybe that’s just me) Did you finish the project?
Something goes wrong on most of hat I do…and then it usually ends up better.
