I just adore oversized cross stitch! It’s so fun to do and it’s a great way to get started on cross stitch since the patterns are usually pretty simple!
Today I’m sharing a fun collaborative effort with Sarah from Sadie Seasongoods! Sarah has such a fabulous vintage style, I love all her projects! She is so great at finding fun thrifty items and redoing them – like the Cross Stitch Rackets we’re sharing today!
She found these old vintage tennis rackets at the thrift store and had the genius idea for doing Christmas cross stitch designs on them! She emailed me and we decided to work together! It was so fun. So we came up with the ideas and I made up the patterns and Sarah did all the actual work. :)
We are sharing the free patterns for you today – Sarah has the patterns for the Christmas Tree and the Snowflake, as well as the full tutorial on how to make them.

Aren’t they fun? I think Sarah did such a great job on them and I loved working with her on these!

I know it’s late in the year but these would be such fun projects to pin for next year, and then you can find the perfect vintage item to cross stitch them on!

The tennis rackets are so adorable. It made me think how I can use some really large wooden embroidery hoops to do the same thing; just will need to add a string grid to them. Thanks for stimulating the creative juices!
