March Pellon Giveaway!

Whew – we are almost at the end of March – but it’s never too late for an Awesome Pellon Giveaway!!

We have a really fabulous giveaway for you this month!! It is an assortment of really great products – lots of things your can try with different projects!

Fun right? Here’s what we’ve got!

Some fun battings for you to try! These are so perfect for any quilting projects you have.

We have 1 Pkg of Nature’s Touch Quilt Batting – in a Queen Size!! It’s 100% Cotton and so lightweight and soft
The other piece is 1 Yard of Natural Blend 80/20 – and it’s 96″ wide!

We also have 1 yd of Insul-Fleece™ – it’s 45″ wide and designed for keeping hot things hot and cold things cold! You guys know I love this stuff! I use it in all my potholders and even in my Picnic Bag!
Included this month is also 1 yard of 45″ wide Tru-Grid. It has a 1″ grid covering the whole fabric, so it’s perfect for drawing out patterns. It makes measuring so easy too!

And we also have a great selection of packaged items!

A box of Wonder-Under – 15″ x 2 yards. This is fusible webbing with paper backing – perfect for appliques. I even used it to fuse my fabric to posterboard for my new Memo Board!
A box of Fusible Fleece – 22″ x 36″ – this is so great for projects were you need just a little bit of padding. I used it on embroidery projects all the time!
We’re including 2 boxes of Easy-Knit Tape as well – a knitted fusible tape – each box is 1.5″ x 10 yds!

  29. I would use the batting for a scrappy triangle quilt I am planning; the fusible fleece for some zippered pouches and the Zakka Sew-Along; and the insulated batting for some new potholders (desperately needed!!)

  32. Hi there, I already make t-shirt quilts with pellon, but I would love to try the laptop case. That’s my favourite project on your site. It looks fashionable yet functional. And my tiny MacBook is swimming around in my oversized store bought laptop case. If I won the prize package I would try every art technique possible with all the new products. Sew much fun!

  51. I am currently in the process of moving and every time i move i try to change something about my bedroom that is relatively inexpensive. That typically leaves new bedding out of the question but with the batting it would be a definitely wonderful change to my bedroom. I havent made a quilt in so long and ooh… look at that! my bed is queen sized. what a coincidence!!

    • What a great giveaway… I use Pellon products but have never visited their site, there are some really cute ideas over there! I’m in need of new kitchen linens and would love to adapt some of the ideas from their Mod Kitchen collection. I’m not sure if I’ll go all out for myself and make a new apron, but the potholders, some appliqué tea towels, a set of placemats are all in my future, and these are awfully cute!

  60. i enjoy trying out pellon’s products … i use insul-fleece in potholders and mats, including a portable, fold-up pressing pad, tru-grid for quag runners, wunder-under for my applique. i’ve yet to use fusible fleece and tape, though.

    As for what I would use the goodies from the giveaway for, well, my godson is getting married in July, and the bridal shower is going to have a wedding quilt theme with the guests each bringing a fat quarter! I’ll have fabric pens and muslin pieces for each of the shower guests to use to write the happy couple a note that will be appliqued to the quilt. The queen size batting will be perfect!

  92. My favorite project from the Pellon website is the playhouse. It looks like its made for a girl but I’m sure it can be made neutral, I’m sure my son would love it!

  107. I was so excited to see the Pellon giveaway. I really liked the memory bag with the photograph on the front on the Pellon website. I was thinking I would make my granddaughters some pillows with a crazyquilt design and an Owl motif on each side. The Pellon makes it so much easier.

  125. I would make the baby quilt from the beginner section if I won. Except, I would make the colors black and soccer pattern fabric to make a soccer quilt. That way my younger daughter has something fun to sit on while big sister is playing in her soccer games. That would be so fun!

  128. There are “sew” many projects that can be made with Pellon products….I like the photo frame, and made a few of these in my early crafting days (about 30 years ago!!).

  159. Already a follower of Flamingo Toes, and thank you for posting the Pellon projects link. Have purchased Pellon products many times at quilt stores, but never thought to check their website for projects! And they have many that I can use. Favorites are the Lindsay Tote and the About Town Tote, but need potholders and placemats for self and daughter’s family and Pellon patterns for oblong potholders looked great as did their patchwork placemat. These two projects is where I’d start using your March Pellon give away products for sure!

  167. I love Pellon products and have used many of those. I have several projects planned for kitchen accessories and I could use them in many of those- table runner, mug rugs, and potholders.

  176. I’m contributing to the Million Pillowcase Project, and have committed to making at least one case for each month of 2012. I’d like to try the fusible fleece for nicely padded applique shapes to decorate the tops of the pillowcases. The knit tape is something I’d really like to explore using, too.   177. I enjoyed looking at the Pellon website. I use several of their products, and will be glad to get new ideas of how to use them (or how to use them the right way). I make lots of bags, so enjoyed that section, but my favorite projects were the mug rugs. I love the bears paw pattern, and will have to make that mug rug sometime. I downloaded the pattern for the homeward bound mug rug. New pattern to me, and I LOVE mug rugs. and like the idea of one larger, to hold a small plate for a snack too!

  185. I”m making a baby quilt, so I’d definitely use the batting for that. Also, I am going to do the Zakka Style Sew-Along over the next month, and it calls for lots of fusible web and fleece.

  194. There is so much you can do with Pellon products. My favorite thing to do is applique. I have a pattern now for a small applique wall quilt where I will be using Pellon to heat-set the pieces in place.
