Hello dear Flamingo Friends! It’s time to announce the July Follower Giveaway. Those of you that have been here for a while know that every month on the 15th (yes, this is the second month, but hey, you have to start somewhere right?) I have a giveaway that is only open to followers of Flamingo Toes. To my newer followers, welcome!
I can’t say often enough how much I appreciate those of you who stop by often. Your visits and sweet comments encourage me so much. :) This is just one small way for me to say “Thanks!”.
Here’s how it works – if you’re a Flamingo Toes follower – you’re entered! It’s as easy as that. No commenting to win, no jumping through hoops. (Where did that phrase come from?? It’s kind of random.) I’ll announce the winner July 15th.
Ready to see what the giveaway is this month?
A New-Vintage Apron!
I seriously love this apron. I hope you do too! The white fabric is new, but all the other pieces are vintage linens.
It has a sweet crochet lace rosette, with pearls of course.
Vintage crochet lace peeking from the hem.
And even little buttons on the nice long ties.
Perfect for your next party, or just making dinner for the kids. There’s something about cooking in a cute apron – it just makes it all more fun. Kind of like playing dress up. haha.
Remember – no commenting to win – though you can comment if you want. :)
And if you do decide to comment – I have a few questions.
If I were to “hypothetically” open an Etsy shop . . . would you buy something like this?
And what would you “hypothetically” pay? And would you like a tutorial for this apron or is it pretty self-explanatory?

Wow, that’s a really unique apron! It looks like the top hanky is only attached at the top, which would make it really useful for, well, I hate to say it, but wiping your hands on it while cooking! I’ve never seen one like that, and I would buy one of these on etsy if you sold them! :) I would pay $20-$30 for an apron like this. Keep up the great sewing projects – I really enjoy your site!

I think it is just “heavenly” and yes, I would buy it. Especially to give as a gift for a new bride, a special sister, or just me.

I would definitely buy this, it’s so cute! About $35 would be the top end of what I’d pay. And a tutorial! YES please ;o) I love your creativity!

Super gorgeous! I could totally wear that while pretending to be a domestic goddess. ;) I would suggest looking on Etsy to find similar items and see how they are pricing and selling. But this is totally something somebody would gobble up in your store!

I love the “pearls of course” comment. Julia Child would be proud!

Oh what a beautiful creation!! I would love to have something like this and think they would do well on Etsy. I unfortunately don’t have the funds to buy extras like this so wouldn’t be able to help you with price but maybe you could look at what others are charging from similar items.

Fabulous apron! I love the “vintage” feel to it. I am not good about prices but I agree with the others that have listed price suggestions for you.

I think this apron is absolutely adorable! I would love a tutorial on how to make it. I have a new obsession with making aprons myself! LOL I love the crocheted rose, did you make it or buy it that way?

Hi Bev,
I am new to your site! a luck find on the internet..
You are so creative, beautiful Pinnie, as we would call it in Ireland!
I would definitely but this, as I appreciate all that’s hand-made, especially vintage, as I live in a 200 yr old house (at present living Canary Islands) but still Irish through.
I would not wear it, too pretty for that…I would hang it in my restored kitchen to be admired.
The price I agree with other comments. $20-$30, Unique.
Just a little comment, I would have it a little shorter in Lenght.
Dont wait….. open an Etsy shop.
