Some of you may know I’m in the middle of a Master Bedroom redo.
And some of you may have known that but forgotten because it is Taking. So. Long.
You’ve probably wondered if I: A) Gave up or B) Finished and didn’t tell you or C) I forgot too.
Nope – it’s D) The redo is taking a crazy long time due to life and company and school and various other excuses.
Anyway,a couple of the projects that have desperately needed doing are some jewelry display/holders. Because let’s face it, I may or may not have a jewelry thing.
Ok. I do.
Today I’m going to show off the new earring display – and next week you get to see the awesomeness that is my new necklace/bracelet storage. Woohoo!
For the earring displays, I didn’t reinvent the wheel or anything, but I wanted something pretty and functional, that would go great with the new room.
Here’s what I came up with!
Aren’t they fun? I have lots of room for new earrings too – which is always important.
These are so super quick and easy – here’s what you’ll need for each holder:
1 embroidery hoop
Lace pieces to go across hoop and overlap just a bit
fabric to wrap around hoop
fabric for backing
(the amounts will depend on the size hoops you use)
Glue (I used a glue gun)
Start by wrapping the two circles of your hoop with strips of fabric. (I got this fun idea from Allison at Little Lovelies – so cute!!)
Continue wrapping until both circles are covered in fabric. Glue the ends down lightly.
Cut your various lace pieces and glue them lightly to the sides of the inner hoop. Fit the two hoop pieces together, making sure the lace is pulled tightly between them.
Trim off any excess lace on the back.
Glue your backing fabric to the back of the hoop. I cut a little larger circle, glued it on, then trimmed around it. That was easier than worrying about lining up the circle exactly.
Make as many as you need to hold all your earrings!
See? Crazy easy. Now you can hang them up and display all your earrings! It’s like jewelry artwork. :)
I had fun doing a little organizing and finding some earrings I hadn’t seen a while that were stuck at the bottom of a drawer.
Ooh look! Can you spot my favorite retro earrings?
Yep. I totally have earrings I wore in the 80’s. And they were flamingos. Cause even then, flamingos were cool. Them and Don Johnson.
At least the flamingos are still cool.
I hope you like them! I think they’ll go great with the new decor.
I see some empty spots on there too. Looks like it’s time to make some more earrings!

Gorgeous, Bev! I think you read my mind. Organizing my jewelry is on my list of things to try to get done this year. Such a hot mess! You would think I was addicted to the bling or something. ;) I think these are just adorable with the lace!

Such a fun idea! I’ve made similar ones with frames, not hoops. LOVE the hoops though! Thanks for sharing.

LOVE this!! It looks super easy too! I have a picture frame with mesh in it that is nice, but it takes up valuable dresser space, I like that you can hang these.

What a great idea! I have no display for my earrings. They just sit in a container. I really like this though!
