I have been slowly chipping away at the mess that is my crafting room! I have to confess I am not an organizer at heart. I sure appreciate it – but it does not come easy for me! I have been a bit overwhelmed by all the boxes in my craft room since we’ve moved.
I’ve made some headway in the last few weeks though – thanks so some awesome new Storage cubes I got from Sauder!
These cubes have really been helpful with providing a bunch of little cubbies for holding fabric, paint, trims – all sorts of things! I actually had a blast putting this together. I found lots of vintage touches of course – and since it’s so cute it actually makes me want to put things where they go after I use them! :)
Here are some more details!
I had to have some fabric storage bins – these bright baskets add a lot of color and they are great for holding vintage sheets! I also organized my buttons into those cute little storage jars – they are separated out by color now so I’ll be able to find what I need much easier.
I liked the white backing that came with the Cube Storage (you can choose either white or wood grain) but I wanted to add a little more color so I covered pieces of foam board with vintage fabric and fitted them into the middle cubes. They just slip in so if I want to change them out I can, super easily. Also, I’m in love with how my baker’s twine fits into the metal milk bottle carrier! It keeps them nice and tidy and they look so cute and colorful.
The shelves are perfect for holding a variety of buckets and tins too. I used these mint green buckets to hold all my craft paint, and the other tins hold pens, specialty items, glues, that kind of thing.
I added in some baskets up on top too – they hold some of my yarn stash. I think the storage looks great next to my hoops and thread rack – the whole space makes me super happy!
I was so excited to be included in the Sauder look book – they’ve asked bloggers to style some of their favorite pieces. This is so full of inspiration Β – great affordable furniture and super creative ideas for styling too!
If you want to check out more ideas from Sauder you can find them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest too!
I’d love to hear what you think!
