It’s been a few months since I was able to show off a quilt finish! I’m super in love with my newest – this colorful half square triangle quilt was so easy to make but it has such a fun design. The fabrics show up against the white background so well!
The pattern for the quilt comes from the Simple Simon Guide to Patchwork Quilting. (aff link) I did a review last year and it took me a while to finish up my quilt! Not because it was complicated, but time just got away from me. :) I made up the half square triangle that is on the cover of the book. I fell in love with the design and just had to recreate it!
The fabric in the quilt is the Prairie line by Cory Yoder for Moda. I thought the colors would be great for a summery quilt, especially against a bright white background.
The quilting was done by my fabulous quilter – Julie Williams. I chose a simple floral to go with the flowers in the prints – I thought it went really well with the little daisies in the fabrics.
The back is the Aqua Floral in the line and it’s bound with the Pink Small Flower. I can definitely see myself snuggling up in this all summer! (I’m not the only one who uses quilts all summer am I???)
I just love how it turned out! If you want to make one you can pick up the book on Amazon – there are such pretty projects in it! I am thinking of doing the churn dash quilt soon!
I’d love to hear what you think!
