I’m so excited to show off my new colorful farmhouse Christmas Tree!! I’ve decided since we’ll be home for Christmas day this year that it would be perfect to have a little tree in the dining room and I’m just in love with how it looks in there!
We spend a lot of time in the dining room during the holidays. There’s of course all the yummy meals, but we also have lots of game nights. We also have a fondue night tradition that we do every year. It will be so fun to have the dining room all decorated this year!
I found this pretty little white pencil tree at Treetopia and it works perfectly in this space. It’s only about 18″ wide so it just tucked right in next to our buffet. I have my new (to me) nesting boxes in the dining room so I wanted the tree to have a farmhouse feel. I decorated it with plaids and chalk inspired things – I love how colorful it is but it still has that farmhouse look too!
I found these darling Gingerbread Ornaments at Treetopia too – they look great with the other ornaments and they add some really fun texture too.
I decorated the tree with a few chalk style things as well. This Chalk Script ribbon adds some fun contrast to the tree don’t you think?
I also included my Chalk Style ornaments – they go great with the ribbon! I also particularly love how my little plaid birdie is photobombing this photo. He’s a cheeky little thing.
I had to decorate my nesting boxes too of course – I used some Christmas greenery and some little star lights – and of course those giant kitschy poinsettias that are fairly amazing.
I am so looking forward to spending a lot of time here during the holidays!
I’d love to know what you think! Have you ever put up a tree in the dining room?
The Treetopia design council is sharing colorful Christmas trees all week – you won’t want to miss them! Head over to the Treetopia blog for links to all the trees – there are new posts going up every day.
