So my sister (yes, she of the cookie fame) and I love to sew and craft together. Unfortunately she lives in AZ.
I live in California. :( Sad face.
When we get together we try and make up for it by cramming waaaaaaaaaaaay too many things into our trips and and taking on big projects and plans.
We usually don’t finish – but we have a fabulous time anyway.
For some reason while I was in AZ a few weeks ago getting ready for Creative Estates, I thought I’d have plenty of time for our latest grand scheme – which was to create the entire line of Angry Birds and pigs from the tutorials by the amazing Care at Obsessively stitching. Yeah. Not sure what we were thinking.
We did get pretty far though and since I’ve been home we’ve finished up our respective sets. I have to say – I’m in love!!!
I can’t wait to show you – check them out.
Here’s the whole gang. *These are just mine – sis has a whole complete set just like them. :)
And some close-ups for you – because I couldn’t resist posing them just a bit.
“The Good Guys”
Don’t they look ready to take on those pigs? I love the fierceness.
“The Bad Guys”
Note the top little pig. My son had to have one with a black eye so my sister came up with that!
“The Showdown”
We have one astonished pig and one with a black eye. And the blue bird looks a little puzzled by the whole thing. One too many hits in the beak I think.
“The Plot”
I’m not sure what’s going on between these two . . . but I don’t like it. The Egg bird looks sly. Or sheepish. Not very angry. I think he’s got a secret.
Plus he’s lumpy. That’s never good.
“The Pile On!”
The Birds will always triumph!!!
Oh the ridiculousness you have to put up with around here.
Yes my kids are teenagers and no they’re not too old for plush things they can throw around the house.
I figure they’re going to throw something – it might as well be something of my choosing and soft.
And yes. Mr. F.T. is just as bad as they are. :)
If you want to make your own set – check out Obsessively Stitching! She has all the patterns and instructions.
Thanks Care!!

LOVE THIS! hahaha
Thank you so much for posting this! I cant wait to get started! :D
Oh and where would you suggest I buy the fleece? I’ve never worked with it so I am a bit hesitant even though I’m impatient to start :D
Oh so cute! And I agree – great for throwing around the house.
Bahahahahahaha oh my gosh. I officially love your sister, too. Could it be that the entire FT family is just completely awesome???
this is hysterical!!! Totally something I can picture myself making when I have teenagers running around! Lol…how much fun!
I love those – I made a pair of the red angry birds and connected them with some ribbon “fuzzy dice style”. I gave them to my cousin for Christmas to hang in his car :)
This post made my day!
Love em! And the egg bird is hiding a secret! He crashed without dropping his “egg” so he’s embarassed ;) That or he dropped his egg and is embarassed. He’s a boy!! lol.
I love the plushies, but I love the pictures most of all! Thanks for the story and the laugh this morning.
xoxo,
Amy

I just love these. You did an amazing job on yours. I bought all the stuff before the holidays to make these and never got the chance to make any of them. :( I’m thinking they would be a cute Father’s Day gift for hubby. LOL He has everything he wants and the things he doesn’t have I can’t afford to buy for him anyway.
Her patterns all looked awesome. Did you find any problems with any of them when you made all of yours? (not counting that lumpy stuffing in that one of course. haha)
OK. I totally have to make myself a set of these! I’m obsessed with that game!
Oh my gosh Bev! These are so cute!!!!
I LOVE these!! I saw your link at Tatertots & Jello. I’m going to have to go look at the pattern, I think it would be so fun to be able to throw them around…and I mean for adults, we don’t have any kids haha.
My kids would go nuts over these. As it is they “steal” our phones on a regular basis to play the original & Rio versions.
Very clever! Love that game.
found you via funky junk interiors
These are awesome! They look fantastic.
These guys are fabulous! I think the little blue bird is my favourite… love the expression on his face.

Love these birds! I was thinking of making a set along with some blocks and planks made out of something soft that they could use to build up little towers with the pigs inside and then break down with the birds :P
Oh my. I LOVE this!!! Usually it’s my husband who is addicted to games BUT there is only one game that I rule at..yes, Angry birds!! :) Thank you so much for making me smile from this project..you should really sell those!
