I think setting a simple but pretty table is one of my favorite things. Now that the kids are older and not always home, our family dinners are more rare. So I take every chance I can get to make things pretty and special!
I’m not one for doing huge elaborate set-ups though. Pieces that are pretty and stylish and that can be used for lots of different styles are perfect for me.
Today I’m sharing three different styles for Holiday Table Settings – easy designs you can switch up in just a few minutes because they’re all built on the same few pieces!
My basic everyday setting for the holidays is this wintry look – all black and white with some fun Nordic touches. It’s so easy!
I started with this glittery (trust me, it is) cream linen tablecloth. It’s such a great base because it goes with so many styles. Then I layered on the circular metallic placemats – they look so pretty with my white dishes! The black napkins make a great contrast with them too, don’t you think?
The centerpiece is crazy-easy too. It’s a winter wreath laid flat on the table, with a simple white lantern set in the middle. I put a green candle in the lantern.
It’s all fun and festive and easy! But let’s change it up!
It’s so easy to change things into a Gold Glam Table setting, with just a few new pieces.
So our tablecloth, placemats, dishes and wreath are all the same. Boom. We’re off to a great start.
I added this gorgeous lace and gold runner down the middle of the table and then re-laid the wreath in the center. I added this handsome fella to the middle of the wreath – isn’t he so great!
These gold metallic trees dress things up even more – they really shine against the lace runner!
And can we talk about the appetizer plates? These are so great, I’m going to use them year round, not just at the holidays. (I couldn’t find these online, but they are in stores.)
Don’t they look so dapper and stylish? And so pretty with the napkin rings!
Ok, one more easy change – this one is a Retro style table setting!
Don’t you love the combination of turquoise and red? It’s so perfect for Christmas! So for this setting, I added this pretty red runner to our tablecloth.
It makes a beautiful base and provides a pop of color that looks so great with the turquoise salad plates and red napkins!
The centerpiece was so easy to make too! It’s a simple party platter, all filled up with a bottle brush tree and lots of small christmas bulbs!
I literally just set the tree in the middle and poured in the ornaments. I love it!
So fun right?
It’s so easy to change up your table settings for a party or special dinner, or just to make every day special!
