This week’s block in the Sewcialites 3 Sew Along is the Spring Wind block, designed by the talented Minki Kim. This block is such a fun one! The pinwheel-style design gives the block a wonderful sense of movement, just like a fresh spring breeze spinning through the garden.

If you’re new to the sew-along, Sewcialites 3 is hosted by Fat Quarter Shop and brings together 25 designers from across the quilting community. Each week, a new block is released, and it’s always inspiring to see how everyone interprets the blocks with different fabrics and color palettes.
I’m sewing my blocks with my upcoming Correspondence fabric collection, and it’s been so fun sharing these early sneak peeks! The soft florals and vintage-inspired prints really shine in this block, especially with the pinwheel layout that lets several fabrics play together in the design.

The best part is that Correspondence will be arriving in shops in just a few weeks, which makes stitching these blocks even more exciting. I can’t wait to start sharing full quilts and projects once the collection is officially out in the world!

You can download the free Spring Wind block pattern from Fat Quarter Shop, and be sure to join the Sewcialites community to see all the beautiful versions being sewn. It’s always so inspiring to see the creativity everyone brings to each week’s block.

Happy sewing!
