This week we are kicking off a brand new sew along – this is the Home Town Holiday Sew Along Week 1!
The Home Town Holiday Sampler is a gorgeous quilt from Lori Holt. Over the next few months, we’ll sew up the different sections of the quilt in this fun sew along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop.
Isn’t this sweet?! It’s such a great sampler and I’m really looking forward to getting this sewn up for Christmas – it’s going to look so fun on my wall!
I’m going to sew along with Heather Peterson’s Christmas Collection, In From the Cold. It has such a fun color palette—red and green, but also teal, yellow, and pretty prints! I’m using my Dainty Daisy Barn Red on Cloud as the background – it’s pairing really well with the reds in the collection. It’s going to be so festive and fun!
This is week 1 and we are sewing up the little Twinkly Stars in the quilt – these are the tiny friendship stars and they are so fun to sew. I made mine really scrappy and cute with the different prints in the collection.
These colors are so fun! I’m really looking forward to seeing the quilt unfold with all the blocks we’ll be sharing the next few months!
You can still join in with the sew along – we are just kicking things off. You can find all the info on the sew along and the schedule on the Fat Quarter Shop Blog.
