I’m going to try something new this week. I thought I’d take a minute before the Features and tell you just a few highlights from my week.
Cause I’m sure you’ve been wondering all about the minutia of my daily life. :)
We’ll see. If it’s a flop – or I decide I have nothing worth writing about – I’ll stop.
So – here we go:
Most Embarrassing Moment of the Week: I pulled my daughter out of school for her Dr.’s appt. only to realize I was a week early. Lovely. There’s nothing like standing in front of a 20 year old receptionist and have her look at you like you’re a crazy person.
Second Most Embarrassing Moment of the Week: I made a funny LOST Poster and accused my family of swiping my good fabric scissors. But in reality they were on my
dining room craft table buried under a pile of supplies, fabric, and photographic proof of Big Foot. Oops. (Sheepish smile directed at hubby and kids)
I love my husband dearly but . . . If you tickle my feet one more time when you walk by me I am going to pinch your nose closed while you’re snoring. Oh wait. I’ve already done that.
Weirdest Search on the Blog: “How does flamingos taste”. Um. Yuck. Double Yuck. Does eating flamingos go hand in hand with bad grammar? I think it might. Sorry weird search person. We are not flamingotarians. Flamingans? Flamingovores? Whatever. We don’t eat them. But we do mount plastic ones on trophy plaques.
Least Happy Moment of the Week: We signed another year lease on our house. It’s not a terrible house. I know we are blessed to have a house and I am thankful. But I miss being a homeowner. I miss painting the walls and changing things I don’t like and feeling like it’s all ours.
Best Moment of the Week: Today is my daughter’s birthday. I couldn’t be more proud of the beautiful, thoughtful, funny young woman she is turning out to be. Love you sweetie. :)
So enough about me – let’s talk about you!
It’s time for the Crush of the Week!
I ADORE this Heirloom Canvas Wreath that Holly from 504 Main made.
I think the lace and the old photos make such a beautiful wreath!
These Bustle Backbacks by Jessica from Me Sew Crazy are like backpack candy.
They’re the Skittles of backpacks.
I need a grownup sized one – in every color. And I think I’ve said that about almost everything Jessica’s ever made. :)
Isn’t this a great Teacher Gift? Mandi from Tolen Family Fun linked up this darling bag.
It even has a snap top!! I’ve always wanted to do one and she has a great tutorial.
This Blue Twig Chandelier from Vivienne at The V Spot is so striking and creative!!
I love how fun it is – I think she needs to make one for me. Oh and a patio to hang it from too.
(Vivienne is seriously talented. Are you following her?? You totally should be. ;)
Soft Gingersnap Cookies? Yes please!! Erin from Eating My Way Back made these little bites of yumminess.
I love the flavor of gingersnaps but I don’t like crunchy cookies. I’m looking forward to trying these!
Are you inspired?? I am!
