Happy Friday!!
It is time for the Crush of the Weeeeek!
First up we have a gorgeous refinished table by Sarah at Life on Walnut Street!
She used yardsticks for the top and I am so in love with how it turned out!
Next up we had the fabulous Megan from Brassy Apple with her necklace makeover!
She took a plain necklace and spray painted it white – and I think it’s the perfect summer accessory!!
Ashlee from I’m Topsy Turvy just blows me away with her creative cake decorating!!
She created the cake for Snap this year – and she decorated it with crafting trends! So so gorgeous!!
This is a fun – super quick – idea!! Keri from Shaken Together made cinnamon roll waffles!
How amazing do these look? Click over to check out her fun way to make these!
Kim from Too Much Time On My Hands redid this darling shelf – and she used a pretty dishtowel as her inspiration!
I love the way she painted it and the little display she put together!
Bethany from Pitter and Glink redid this lamp for her craft room – seriously how adorable is this??
Chicken wire? Flowers? Rick Rack? Pretty colors? Yes please!
The smocking on this dress is just darling!! Melissa from Melly Sews has a fabulous – super clear tutorial on it!
Melissa has some super darling children’s clothes – you’ll have to click over and spend some time browsing around!
How’s that for some inspiration!!
If you were featured and would like a button – they are here! Grab one and show it off!
Ready for some Highlights of the Week?? Me too!!
Remember when I gave you some sneak peeks into plans for our room and my daughter’s? Well – things are just really moving along!
We had a little poll on Facebook this week about some colors to add in for accents – and I loved all your responses!
Also – I’ve done some tweaking as I’ve gone along – and I am sooooo excited! I’m working on artwork and stenciling end tables and finishing my dust ruffle.
I cannot wait to show you!!
Epiphany of the Week: Those of you that have been around for a while know my kiddos aren’t little tykes. Well my youngest is 16 – and recently started driving himself to school.
So I had the realization this week that I am done with car pool. Forever. Which – I’ll confess – I was pretty excited about.
Ok. I’m still excited. Carpool can suck the life out of you faster than a good looking vampire.
But there is a part of me – and it’s bigger than I expected – that is sad. No more driving my kiddos to school. Stopping for snacks and hearing about their day on the way home.
I know I know. It’s not a huge deal. But it’s just one more step in that whole kids-growing-up-thing.
Wow. I got all mushy.
Let’s jump into the Weird Searches shall we?
• We had someone searching for a “frilly justin bieber“. I don’t think Justin Bieber is frilly. A little feathery maybe (the hair you know) but not frilly. But speaking of 16 year olds – there is nothing more embarrassing to them than their mom singing “Baaaaby Baby Baaaaby O-ohhhhhh” at the top of their lungs. So of course I do it often.
• Someone else is looking for “different shades of pink drawers“. I have a bunch of those. I got them at Target – 5 for $20. Oh wait. Do you think they were looking for dresser drawers?
• Last up, we had a search for “lace in trees“. For real? Can someone tell me where the lace forest is? Is that kind of like Willy Wonka’s candyland – but for crafters? Cause I would totally go all Augustus Gloop on that.
And with that mental image –
Happy Weekend!!
